Can I share a link to a survey showing only selected questions?

Hi all,
My survey is aimed at different organizations. But my survey asks so many different questions about the organization that hardly a single person will have all the answers. In this case, it would be amazing if I could craft / generate different links to the same organization but each link showing/allowing only certain questions to be answered by different individuals (all using the same token).

Let's say two people from different areas (HR, Sales) are to answer the survey -- each filling in the blanks with the information they're supposed to know. Tim from HR will answer the questions about human resources, Pamela from Sales will answer the questions about sales, etc.

In this case, I'd like to share a link to answer the survey with a single respondent (token), but each link would show only selected questions to be answered -- not the whole survey. So I'd like to share a link to this survey that Tim from HR will see (and be able to answer) only HR-themed questions. The same goes for Pamela from Sales etc.

Is this possible? How can I do it?

Thank you so much in advance
Sergio

Easy peasy, but not with exactly the same token.

You can create a token based survey and add custom attributes. E.g. one attribute is the company and another one is the sector within the company (HR, Sales, IT, Marketing, etc.).

Then within the survey you can create relevance equations (I think in LS5 they are just called conditions now) and show hide questions or whole question groups based on the custom attributes. E.g. {ATTRIBUTE_6=="Sales"} would show the question or group of questions if the custom ATTRIBUTE_6 equals "Sales". Just like you would create relevance equations / conditions based on previous questions of the questionnaire.

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
Note: I answer at this forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

You can also ask on a first page in what department a person works and tailor the survey to that answer.
