Hello, I work for a longitudinal research project and we would like to administer a questionnaire 3 times over 1 year.
My question is: Can I start a questionnaire without an invitation code at first for the first round of the data collection. And then when the time comes for the second round, insert an invitation to the questionnaires? Or would I have to create a new questionnaire (import the questions) with an invitation link?
Thank you and sorry if this was answered somewhere else, couldn't find it.
You might need to explain you project a bit more.
Usally you administer a list of probands. This list is uploaded into a survey and you create invitationcodes. You administer the list over time and upload the list to every survey in your wave. That way you can match everyone over time.
If you use a open survey in the first wave, I wonder how you match this survey with the next waves? Are probands asked for an email or other contact data in the first wave?
Hello thank you for the reply.
The project is about collecting data from families before - during - after an intervention in their neighborhood (we have approx - 180 respondants - not anonymous). I am the only person working on the survey and I am not that experienced (yay academia!). That is why I want to find an easy solution. What I was thinking is that the first survey will be open and require you put your email and phone number. When the first data collection phase is done, manually assign codes to each participants. And when it is time for second phase, either use the same questionnaires and close it (I do not know if that is possible) OR copy paste the same questionnaire, make it closed and send the link with the code to respondants. After the second phase is done, put the data together manually.
I am sorry if this doesn't make sense, I am myself trying to understand it all.
Thank you.
