Hi everyone, 

I'd like to create a dual array scale in which participants must answer all rows except the last row as it is an "Other" option. My problem is that I'd like the last row to be "deselectable" and to make it so that they must answer both scales for the "Other" option if they want to answer "Other". 

I've thought about creating either an array (numbers) question with checkboxes though I'm not sure how to make it mandatory to respond to both scales for all options except other (and then to make it mandatory both scales are answered for "Other" if they answer one of the scales)
I've also tried following Tpartner's instructions from this locked thread  forums.limesurvey.org/forum/can-i-do-thi...ther-answer?start=15 but to no luck, likely because it's a 7 year old thread? 

Any suggestions/help would be very appreciated! Thank you.

Thank you for the response. I'm wondering how to validate dual array scales? If I input the code from the thread you shared - I will be able to have a comment box under my "Other" but I'm still trying to figure out how to make all rows mandatory except "Other" as there's no box to input the subquestion validation in a Dual Array Scale question.

You should be able to do it with question validation. Can you attach a sample survey (.lss file) containing only that question?

Thank you, I'm attaching .lss file with just this question. My first .lss file that I attached had my question in a regular array and then in array (numbers) format.
