Could look like this with placeholder, inputmask and regex to validate:
Placeholder is changed to inputmask as soon as the field gets the focus.

If you want to ask the time duration and cannot insert the data-time picker, I strongly suggest you use a dropdown list, since my case shows many respondents have trouble with the input-text question with an input mask.

But you didn't show anything nor you mentionmed the version of LS that you are using.
So it is difficult to advise.
A picker is not always the best solution.
