Arrays with multiple choice was created by eniisula
Can I create arrays with multiple choice for each row or columns depending on the layout of the question? How can I do that?

You can do that by reading the manual. You are working quite extensively with Limesurvey, I think the minimum you could do is read through the question types in the manual.

www.limesurvey.org/manual/Question_types/en

www.limesurvey.org/manual/Question_types/en#Array_.28Numbers.29

Array (numbers) gives you the option for check boxes. I read "multiple choice" as multiple answers possible. Actually multiple choice is not the right description for that. A normal array where you can click just one item is also "multiple choice", because the question offers you multiple choices. The difference is, that out of these multiple choices, you can only pick one.

If that is not what you are looking for, then show us an example of what you want.

And read the page about question types and also go into the different question types, they all have their own pages with more descriptions and the advanced settings.

The question is basically like this: I have 5 companies and 10 services offered by them. I want the user to be able to check multiple services for each company as they see it. How can I do that?

PS: I have surveys from a company and I have to do it their way. I have to do it quickly and I don't have time to read a lot because my team needs to see what things are possible with limesurvey and what not.

In the second link I saw the option in array numbers with checkboxes. Could you show me how to do that because I do not understand how. I mean you could walk me through where to make changes where to add lines of code if necessary.

Thank you in advance!

That is what I figured and I find it quite "unfair" to use the good will of the volunteers here to "outsource" a service that you are getting paid for to a forum run by volunteers.

Your timeline is not our problem. We are happy to support if real issues appear, but if the issue is that you don't have the time to read through the manual (basics), I for myself am out. Because this is not what the forum is for.

You are flooding the forum with basic questions for days or weeks now. You should take the time and read those basics and them come to the forum if you have "real" questions.

Reading through the question type page in the manual takes you maybe 30-60min. You have spent far more time writing questions on the forum than this.

Sorry, I am out. I am not here to do your work.

Sorry if I have wasted your time. I didn't mean that. I am not being paid also, not that it matters.

And of course you are not doing my work. I face some obstacles and I ask here questions. I have typed and added more 1000 questions for free sir. I do not want to go through all the manual and I found a warm supportive environment here for my questions up until now. Also you are free not to help me. You do not have to be rude about it. I don't think that I cannot ask questions in the forum. If I am not allowed to ask questions here then block me or remove me from here. In the mean time I will ask what I need and if anyone wants to help me I would be really grateful.

Also some times I have been redirected to the manual but it has been hard to understand from there so a lot of good people here have helped me even though it was on the manual. Because for me the manual is vague sometimes.

Just so you know, I will be part of a team that will develop an app that will have a structure similar to limesurvey. Since its time-sensitive I needed to get the gist of limesurvey for specific things, which I have asked here.

I felt really offended that you said I am using the good will of the volunteers, especially that you do not know me. I have worked in many jobs as a volunteer and I have dealt with many situations. For me it was always enough that I helped people no matter what their intentions were.

Thank you for helping me up until now! Have a great day helping people with "real issues".

PS: Last time wasting your time. Please do not read any of my topics. I do not know if there is any option for you to block me. If there is do it please! :)

I am not trying to be rude, but I want to show you, that you are asking quite a lot from a forum with volunteers.

And I am happy to continue to help, but only if I have the feeling that these are real issues, not basically just asking stuff because one doesn't want to read the manual.

You can always ask questions, the forum is here for that. And we can decide to answer or not. You are right there.

But I want you to be sensible about it. Many of your questions could have been solved by reading the manual or seach on the forum. And if that happens a lot, many of the volunteer helpers will stop answering any questions, that is just the way it goes. If one has the feeling

44 posts in 12 days is about 4 posts per day. Just saying. ;-)

I don't want to discourage you to ask, when it is a real issue. But I want you to check if the basic things couldn't be solved by searching the manual or forum, especially by now that you are already quite deep into Limesurvey, it should be quite easy to find these things yourself. The forum is not here to substitute the manual, it his here to solve problems that are specific.

At the end we are doing basically the same, search the forum or the manual for you to present you a link.

This is why I say that I will not answer these basic questions anymore. If there are specific questions I might continue, but I am out for these basic questions.

I have typed and added more 1000 questions

In this case you should watch out to not run into the limits of your database, because from about 1000 questions onwards it can get tricky to run into the column limit of your database engine and you might not be able to activate the survey.

There are 1000 questions from different surveys. Still thank you for all!
