Depending on what they use as a device to respond, you could record the GPS data. Of course you will need to ask permission (the browser will open an alert and ask them for permission to record the location, so you can't do it "hidden"). I recently did this for a survey with interviewers in the field and this worked pretty well, as they were using their cell phone. You could pretty much see the locations very close to the POS where the interviews where supposed to take place. When testing on the computer the results were not as accurate. Sometimes it worked very well, but sometimes the position was off by 500-1000m.
I don't know how they determine location on the computer, as there is no GPS signal. If it is via IP, then you might have the same problem as Denis describes, due to VPNs, etc.
But generally, if no VPN is used, the accuracy is probably enough for determining the country. As long as your target group is not from Vatican City or something ridiculously small.
