Is it possible to change font or something inside a dropdown select? I tried writing direct HTML like

a<span style="color:red !important;">b</span>c

but it does not work. I do not understand what can override that, as inline style should have preference over other CSS settings.

Only text is permitted in an option element - developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/option
