send token as parameter in URL was created by Marvin_42
Let's say we have a tool with a feedback button. The button contains the link to a Limeservey feedback questionary, which the people hitting the button can fill.
Now I want to capture the individuals giving responses, so I can ask back questions. Since the people are klicking on a button in an application and not on a link from an email I was thinking to give the token as parameter to the URL when entering the survey. How can I do that?

I understand:
There are some people who work with the tool.
There is a button that links to LimeSurvey.
You want to identify these people in LS.
So they have already some kind of token before they enter LimeSurvey and you want to store this "token" in the survey.
Correct?

If you call your "token"  "TOK"
your link to LS can look like this (with the added parameter)
Code:
https://www.myServer/lime/index.php/445375?lang=en&TOK=123ABC456

Now you create a question of type "short text" with code "TOK". And you hide this question . In this question the value "123ABC456" will be stored.
That's all.

Additionally you may read the manual here

thank you very much for the quick response.
Your understanding is almost correct, but your idea is grest.
Actually I really thought of using the token from LimeSurvey assotiated with the known users from the user list and which is already present in the statistics (at least I saw it there yesterday but today no more).
If that is not possible I will pick up your suggestion.

The token and attributes are only available in the data if the survey is non-anonymous.
