Complex and multiple scoring system was created by NicoPL
Hi everybody,

I'd like to use LimeSurvey as a tool to assess people on multiple criteria.
I have a set of questions, each answer gives one figure, or scores according 6 criteria.
Then my scoring system is based on taking figures and scores from questions, adding them or multiplying them with other answers to get 6 different scores.

Simple example:
1. How many km do you travel from home to work every day? (ex: 15km)
2. How do you travel? (walk, car, bicycle, bus, train) (ex: car -> 140gCO2/km and "transition actor"=0)
3. If by car, how many people are in the car? (ex: 1.5)
4. If by car, are you active within a carsharing or carpooling system? (ex: yes -> "transition actor"+3)
=> get score about "annual CO2 footprint" (ex: 15*120*200/2.3 = 280kgCO2/year)
=> get score about "transition actor" (ex: 0+3 = 3pts)

Do you believe it possible with LimeSurvey?
Not to complex to do with 100+ questions and 6 different criteria?
Otherwise would you have any recommendations to make such a tool (i'd love it to be open source)?

Thank you :)

Getting the scores should be relatively easy through using equation type questions and expression manager/script.

Now, with 100+ questions it will be some work, but this will probably the same with any tool.

Expression manager is quite capable and flexible and together with a couple of equation questions where you calculate and save your scores (you can later pipe the results into text display questions for example to show some kind of "report" to the respondents).

Not sure how you get from 15*120*200/2.3 to 280kgCO2/year though...

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
