About Repeating Survey was created by firmamant
Hi, I would like to use LM to track something about each participant, for example:
  • gather the same group of information once a day
  • if a participant visit the survey more than once a day, just update the record of that day
  • else, insert a new record
In short, I want to automatically make an "Follow-up Investigation"

Greeting and thanks.

What is "LM"?

I don't think Limesurvey can do exactly what you want, at least not out of the box.

Limesurvey doesn't know what "a day" is. You can configure Limesurvey that the respondent can update previous response, or to create a new response. But out of the box there is no way that Limesurvey would update the response if it is on the same day and if it is on another day create a new one.

Would you send the respondent an Email per day with an individual link or would they have one link and always use this one link again, each day?

Let's see if someone else has an idea.

Thanks for reply, and, ahhh, I just use LM instead of Limesurvey.
Either using a same link or diffrent link is OK. I though about using corn job to generate token each day, but unless I generate a dummy participant for each participant every day....
But It looks like a mess......

Think it can be done with plugin , but need PHP development competence.

Assistance on LimeSurvey forum and LimeSurvey core development are on my free time.
I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH member, professional service on demand , plugin development .
I don't answer to private message.

Any suggestion please?
As description above (#218339), I can't make it with RemoteControl API.
I'm not familiar with what plugin can do(can plugin modify core logic?) I can use PHP a little bit but not proficient in it.

In this case you probably will need to find someone who can develop this solution for you in Limesurvey (or find another tool that covers your use case out of the box).

Denis is an experienced developer for Limesurvey and many of the plugins available for Limesurvey are developed by him. Many of his plugins are free, but for something like this, where he will need to do some customs programming, you will need to hire him. In this case it is probably best to contact him via his website sondages.pro.

Of course there are other certified Limesurvey Professionals. The list can be found here: limesurvey.com.
