What is the "Webserver" plugin and what is "AD"?

I answer at the LimeSurvey forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.

Didn't you ask this in the plugin section already?

There I asked if there was such a plugin, and here I ask if the functions of the "Webserver" plugin can be used in such a way that it retrieves participant data from Windows Authentication.

Because it works at the level of the Webserver plugin when logging in through the administration panel. I think it is also possible on the frontend.
The only question is whether it is possible to use solutions from the "Webserver" plugin - something like creating a dependent plugin that requires it and referring to the functions of this plugin.
Do I have to write a completely independent "web server" plugin that will contain similar mechanisms used only for frontend participant identification?

AD means ActiveDirectory, which is the Microsoft way of an LDAP server. The userdatabase and additonal infos around authentication are provided by the ActiveDirectory.

The backend authentication in LimeSurvey can be done via an plugin.
But authentication to fill out an survey via AD is not common nor implemented.
The survey access is done via token.

What is the "Webserver" plugin and what is "AD"?
Webserver - plugin Windows Authentication from backend in LS3
AD - Active Directory, actually, I meant windows Authentication, which identifies users who are part of AD

Thanks guys, I know how to make this plug. Just read the participant data in the same way as WebServer does, and then verify it with the data imported from AD. And finally, redirect with a token for a specific participant (if he had a generated token)
