I want to send a public survey to different institutions which forward it to their employees. In the end I need to know which surveys were done in which institution. I want to pass some kind of ID in the URL which is then saved in the answer table. Did I understand it right that the best way is to use these resusable tokens?

You can pass variables inside a URL without using token. Panelintegration is the keyword.

You can use resusable token do identify and limit access.

It depends what is easier and safer for your survey project.

If you have a URL with an id, people might modify the URL (e.g. remove the ID).
That is impossible with token.
Limiting access to the survey might be helpful too.
