clear all survey's responses was created by skywalker23
Hello guys,
currently we have more than 8000 responses in 1 day, and it will increase massively (see attachment).
the idea is we export all data for 1 day to excel then delete all response data in LS, so that we have clear data cut-off.
current feature we knew (ticking all items) only works for active page.. which if we do that manually page-per-page will really takes time.
Could we perform deletion of all survey's responses all at once?
my LS version : 4.2.2
kindly need your help.
thank you

If you deactivate the survey all older responses are put into an archive, when you activate the survey again, you should get the option to import them back into the newly activated survey. Just don't do that.
But what would be the advantage of deleting the responses from the first day? Why not leaving them there? I mean, the above procedure should be no problem, but why risking it?
Of course, there might be a valid reason for this, I just don't know.

By the way, if you use tokens your participants that have not yet completed might want to finish the survey still (if response persistence is on). If you delete their answers, they might not be very happy.

Volunteers are not paid.
Not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless

As @holch, why?
1. Of course, you can
2. And you can delete these records from the survey table "lime_survey_xxxxxx" with a tool like phpMyAdmin.
At your own risk.

- export
- deactivate

A note about deactivating - if token are used, the token table will also be deleted. You may need to restore it on re-activation.

@holch :
so we define our clear data cut-off, and manage the data in excel by doing 'Export all data' then 'Clear All data'
also, as i know we don't use that kind of 'token'.
kindly help if you have any solution we could use.
thank you
because current 'Export' feature we can NOT filter per day / or by date. But what would be the advantage of deleting the responses from the first day? Why not leaving them there? I mean, the above procedure should be no problem, but why risking it?

Cron with plugin ?
Some sample :
- gitlab.com/SondagesPro/coreAndTools/backupSurveyLocally
- gitlab.com/SondagesPro/coreAndTools/moveSurveyToSurvey
Idea :
- When CLI event happen
1. Take the current datetime
2. Export in checked survey (Survey settings) : the file until datetime : send by email and backup on local directory
3. Delete exported answers
In survey settings : can choose if export not completed data too.
Or API : have the export but NOT the delete : need to create a API function : gitlab.com/SondagesPro/RemoteControl/extendRemoteControl
With 8000 responses in 1 day i really think command system are the best solution.
