Hi there,

I hope someone is able to advise me on this, as I am not used to dealing with/setting up domain aliasing!

At the moment, I have a number of surveys that are live for people to take part in. These have been set up so that the URL is taken from the survey and sent out via email.

What I would like to do now is send out surveys using the email send out function in Lime Survey, and would like to set up domain aliasing to allow those recieveing the survey to trust it and have peace of mind about it.

What I would like to know is whether I set this domain alias now, will it impact the surveys that are already live and collecting data? i.e. will it affect their links so that if a person now clicks on the link, it will not work? I am sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am unsure of this and do not want to risk the other surveys not working!

Thanks so much! :)

Are you a client of Limesurvey GmbH and have a hosted package with them? Then you should get into contact with them directly via support ticket, as only they will be able to respond.

If you are hosting your LS installation yourself, then this is a different thing.

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
Note: I answer at this forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
