Is it possible to use a map created using Google My Maps for a location question?

As far as I know, those maps are not interactive.

If you want an interactive custom map, have a look at the Google Maps JavaScript API - developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/overview .

The maps are interactive. They allow you to place a pin on a location and it outputs the coordinates to the survey results.

Your link may be helpful. If I can add some overlays to the map somehow and have a placed pin location output to the survey, then I'll be in business.

I'll try to when I get home tonight, but it is bultin to LimeSurvey. You should be able to do it with your copy.

Of course he is able to do it with his copy. But help those that are trying to help you and make their life easier.

Hooch, I don't know what your beef is. The first thing I said was that I would try to do it. The limitations to me doing it are 1) my memory 2) my ability to find the code he is looking for.

No beef, just explaining why someone might ask for a LSS file. Because with that, he can look at what you have done or trying to do. Anyway. I am out.

In your original post you asked about Google My Maps.

I said that I didn't think those maps were interactive and you replied that they were, so I asked for a .lss demonstrating that.

Your .lss does not even use Google Maps, let alone Google My Maps.

I assumed when you said "maps", you meant both the mapquest and google version. I don't have an API key for google maps, and the mapquest version does what I said. I don't see this as a material difference. If you're saying the Google Maps version behaves differently, I'll get the key and share my results with you. 

I said those maps, referring to Google My Maps, not Google maps in general.
