Changing the way of communication to the MSSQL database was created by alorenc
Are there any contraindications for using a DB connection using odbc:Driver={SQL Server} instead of the default sqlsrv:server?

Won't changing to ODBC break anything?

answer for others:
Tested in version 3.25.10. The DbConnection.php class does not support "odbc". Also, $driverMap in CDbConection.php is not in the "odbc" list. So this setup didn't work.

We use Yii www.yiiframework.com/doc/guide/1.1/en/database.dao

But we don't allow SQLite or Oracle

Did you try www.yiiframework.com/doc/guide/1.1/en/da...sing-odbc-connection ?'driverName'=>'mssql',
