Hiding token from URL in emails was created by ENSAVT
Hello,

I need to remove the token from emails, because tokens will be sent separately via SMS to people required to vote (sort of a 2FA thingy, we could say).

I can not seem to find the placeholder that has the basic URL with no variable.

I think I could eventually type the survey URL, but it's not allowed in free mode, and furthermore it's not really convenient.

I there something that I missed, to be able to do that?

Kind regards.

What is "free mode"?

Why do you need a placeholder? You know the path to your LS installation so:

Code:
https://pathToLimeSurvey/index.php?r=survey/index&sid={SID}&newtest=Y

@holch Free mode is the "no subscription" mode, we are waiting for a reply from support to get the 30% university discount.

@tpartner You can't enter manual URLs in the "no subscription" mode, the page says "no external links allowed" (even if the link is XXXXXX.limequery.net/123456 ). And even then, having a placeholder would be much more convenient than having to edit the email template for each new survey.

OK, so you are talking about the SaaS "Limesurvey Professinonal" and the package "Free", got it.

I would guess that this is a measure to avoid spam. As the "Free" account can be opened by anyone, it could be easily be missused for spam purposes. For the other packages they have at least some information about the user, so in case of spamming this could be controlled easier.

But most of us here in the forum have no experience with "Limesurvey Professional", we provide support for the Community Edition. Thus we probably won't be able to provide a solution, only the support from Limesurvey GmbH who is responsible for hosting the Limesurvey Pro packages.

All of us use Community Edition, there are not such limitation on CE edition.
