Migrating survey changes between instances was created by vvvfee888
Hi,
I have two instances of LimeSurvey installed:
1. Live
2. Dev
I've exported my survey from the "Live" instance (as survey.lss) and had it imported into the "Dev" instance.
On the imported version of the survey (on the "Dev" instance) I've added in a few new questions.
Is there a way to import/sync these new questions into the survey on the "Live" instance (via a plugin / MySQL - PHP scripts or otherwise)?
Or my only respite is - to recreate the (new questions) on the Live version?
Thanks.

You can only export complete surveys, question groups or questions. There is no "synchronisation".
But what you can do is to export the added questions as a question group as lsg file (if they are in a new question group) or each question as .lsq files .

Or you simply just export the complete survey from the DEV instance, import it into the LIVE instance and delete the old survey.

Thanks, holch
I would still want to maintain the survey links (survey id), Tokens, and historical data to the survey.
Would this solution (to delete the existing one on the PROD instance and import the DEV one) insure the above?
Let me know.

Volunteers are not paid.
Not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless

What do you mean by "historical data"?
And when copying a survey you have the option to select your preferred ID.

Else : check LSA export/import.
Remind to delete old survey before import

Another things : to have a real DB mirro : use DB export/import system (NOT RELATED WITH LIMESURVEY).
