Matrix: 2 sets of answers was created by Tassenhoch
LS 3.25.4

Hi !
I already found many helpful hints in this forum, but this time I can't find anything helpful.

I'd like to provide a set of 18 pairs of questions, two kinds of question in one pair. Each kind of question has 6 answer options, shown as dropdown. Kind A questions has answer-options 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and Kind B has answer-options 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.
Example:
1a: What if it rains? [1|...|6]
1b: What if it doesn't rain? [7|...|12]
2a: What if we are in time? [1|...|6]
2b: What if we are late? [7|...|12]
It is necessary that the kinds of questions alternate.
How can I alternate the answer-options?

The bussword is "randomization group".

If I understand correct you want to randomize the order of each pair.
So Q1a and Q1b will get the same randomization group name
And Q2a and Q2b, and so on.

Like this (here I show them all, what you won't do)

Or did I misunderstand?

Thanks for your answer.
The order does not matter. But every question Qxa must have answer-options [1|...|6] and every question xb must have answer-options [7|...|12]. Also, Q1a must be followed by Q1b, Q2a by Q2b and so on.
The Answer-sets [1|...|6] and [7|...|12] will each be used 18 times.

So, what really is your goal?
As you describe it there ist nothing.
You have
Q1a (1-6)
Q1b (7-12)
Q2a (1-6)
Q2b (7-12)
Q3a (1-6)
Q3b (7-12)
This is the normal flow.

And if you want to randomize the groups like
Q1c
Q2c
Q1a
Q1b
Q4a
Q4b
Q3a
Q3b
you have several groups each with the two questions Qxa and Qxb and all groups get the same "randomization group name".

Or don't you know how to insert the answer options?
Qxa

Qxb

Otherwise you should

My matrix has 36 questions. Maybe I made that not clear.
Or I do not understand where I can specify the group of answers for each of the 36 questions...

Okay, send your survey as lss export.
Then we can be sure to talk about the same things.

And seeing your user name you seem to be a German speaker.
To talk about this without the language gap, you'd ask your question in the Germen section of the forum.
