Hi dear Limesurvey Community,
I have read somewhere that it is possible to send a participant, a copy of the results (aka. basic and detailed admin notification email). I tried to create a question with the question code "Email" in the last question group "Analysis" and entered {Email} in the Notifications and Data settings under "Send basic admin nofitication email". Unfortunately it does not seem to work. Can you please advise?
I also had the idea to combine the Email template "Confirmation" and "Basic + Detailed Admin notification", so when the participant gets the confirmation email, he also receives the result. Is it possible to do this via this approach aswell? This does not seem to work either in this survey...
Bottom line, I want to send the results to the participants (automatically), but I have troubles to do so.

LimeSurvey version?

If you are using tokens, the confirmation email should be sent to the address in the token table.

Are you able to send emails at all?

- first of all ,many many thanks for this discussion and idea-exchange. 

i am fairly new to LimeSurvey but i am willing to learn all necesary things :  and all the ideas that  you exchange here - the are just great .

I muse about the question to do some extra things with the e-mail /(and the according setup) : 

can we do like so .- in the email setup like so 

we just 

1. Create a survey
2. Activate particpant
3. Create a participant with our email
4. Try to send the inviation - and this we do trough the freshly created mail-path see the attached image

 

 

does this work like i have described above?.When it work : we shhould check other email.
 - what about this setup!?



btw: -just to mention another usecase:  if we want to run a survey without any mailsettings - is this doable too!? 
So unless you do not want to mail the results to the respondents - you do not have to configure the email-settings. 

for example such a usecase: 

Within a  company some folks are thinking about starting a survey: It should be freely accessible to all people who come to the
website and the customers are allowed to take the survey as many times as they want, there should be no limit here.

Well in such a usecase:  if we want to run a survey without any mailsettings - is this doable too!? 
So unless you do not want to mail the results to the respondents - you do not have to configure the email-settings.
