I haven't been able to view demographics data (gender, age, etc.) in GA, I had remarketing and demographics reports enabled and it wasn't working so I enabled Google Signals but still not seeing it. is it blocked at code/integration level? what am missing?

Which LS version?

Try to enable it from Global Settings first and see if it works. If not, try once more but from the local level (survey -> notifications & data)

I have Version 3.17.5+190604

Should I only use one or the other? i.e. Global settings OR local level?
I had the tracking key in Global settings only initially, when i didnt see the demographic data first thing I tried was setting the tracking key at survey level as well (while Global was still on, same key).

I have not tried local level only, yet.
