Question re. comment boxes was created by PP2020
Hello,
Hope everyone is well. Been trying to work something out for a while now and have come up blank so I thought I'd try here.
I'm struggling with two areas re. comment boxes and responses.
1) Is there a way to reposition the 'Other comment box' so that it goes in-between certain responses instead of the final one.
2) Similarly, I'm struggling to find a way to create a question where every response is followed by comment box response.
If anyone has any advice on this, or whether I might be able to read up on designing / developing these, I would be most grateful.
Have a good day.

Volunteers are not paid.
Not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless

1. Unfortunately there is nothing built-in.
a. You may find something here.
manual.limesurvey.org/Workarounds:_Manip...meSurvey_version_3.x :
And if it is the "Other, please specify" answer option, by which options is it followed (DK/NA?)
b. Use a "multiple choice with comments" and remove the comment boxes where they are not necessary.
2. Do you talk about a "multiple choice with comments".
Anyway, all depends on the type of question you are going to use.

Hi Joffm,
Thank you so much for your reply. I've looked the link you sent and it's helped clarify things for me.
In regards to the second point: no, the question would not be multiple choice.
For example,
1. Answer 1
[Comment box]
2. Answer 2
[Comment box]
3. Answer 3
[Comment box]
If you have any more advice on this, I would be very grateful.
Have a good day now.

Single choice?
Then you may use the list(radio) with comment, as there is only one comment possible.
Please, clarify, what you are trying to do.
Best a lss export with the relevant questions of your survey.

Hi Joffm,
I've been looking for a similar solution.
A multichoice with comments, but I only want 2 out of the 10 comment boxes listed - so what you said
"b. Use a "multiple choice with comments" and remove the comment boxes where they are not necessary."
I found your answer in the other thread - it worked. so thanks.
