Email attachment arbitrary file type was created by Jmantysalo
Can I add an .ics file to email template -- i.e. is it possible to override the list of allowed file types on Resources-section?

You need to add it in your application/config/config.php file on options

manual.limesurvey.org/Optional_settings#Upload_files

Please file a bug report. I can't get the Resources interface to work at all in 4.2.3.

I think (unusure) in 4.X (when uploader work …) you need to add it in both allowedresourcesuploads and allowedfileuploads
