I wonder, if there are any plans, best case - if it's already possible - to export the .dta STATA format directly and not the .xml
Why?
Using the free jamovi (
www.jamovi.org/
) and/or the free jasp (
jasp-stats.org/
) one can import .dta files. Of course, importing .csv is possible but this looses all the metadata.
Then you can easily fork it and do your own plugin.
Maybe LimeSurvey core can be interested by a pull request.
Else :
1. I don't think LimeSurvey GMBH team do it (freely) if they don't have a lot of SAAS client asking it
2. I personally don't use it, then don't do it freely.
Assistance on LimeSurvey forum and LimeSurvey core development are on my free time.

Hi, ong,
now the stata format, what next?
In the other post you asked about the *.sav format.
I didn't answer that, because I thought you know about PSPP. It is often mentioned here, almost always when talking about statistical software.
And I agree to Denis.
These - your - desires are too seldom that the developers will invest time in it.
There are really other more important things in the feature request list.
E.g. Things related to survey taking and database structure..

Not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless
I ask for STATA as well as some other software (jamovi, jasp) are able to open this - so, I thought, I give it a try.
That the workaround with PSPP works was quite surprising for me and I am very thankful to you all for taking the time to read my request and jelo who suggested this.
