I'm looking to use LimeSurvey (self-hosted) to do a survey as part of a University research project and I wondered if anyone has an example of a complete survey report? I'm looking to see what it produces i.e. graphs, charts and so on. I wondered if anyone has one they'd perhaps be able to share with me to take a look at? I did try using the demo site and using the report function on there but it didn't load.
If you want to rely purely on Limesurvey for all your reporting efforts, you'll be probably disappointed. LS is a data collection tool in the first place. There is some reporting, but it is not a full fledged analysis tool. It gives you a certain first idea about results, but if you want sofisticaded analysis and charts, you should use a tool that is made for analysis.
LS is open source and free, so you could just install it on a XAMPP installation and try it for yourself. Takes about 5-10 minutes and you can play around as much as you want with it.
Help us to help you!
Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
Note: I answer at this forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
I think the out of the box individual response report is very basic. no graphs.
You still can find good graphs at the stats module, but that will be from the analysis of a set of responses, not a single response.
At Encuesta.Biz we have made couple of custom made reports, both for individual responses and summary.
Thank you! I was just curious to see what a report generated as a PDF looked like. I plan on using JASP or IPSS for analysing the data. I'm still in the planning and development phase and didn't want to use Survey Monkey if I can avoid it
