Unable to import from local LimeSurvey CE 4.1.11 to LimeSurvey SaaS 3.22.9

Unable to import from local LimeSurvey CE 4.1.11 to LimeSurvey SaaS 3.22.9 was created by lewoptics
I did some preliminary testing of building and executing surveys on a local server. Now we're evaluating using Lime Survey SaaS to host our surveys.

I'm unable to export as any file type (.lss .lsa or .txt) and have them successfully import into the cloud based. Is there any work around?

The database structure in 4.x is different, thus Surveys are not downward compatible. You can import LSS files created in 3.x into 4.x. But you can't import files created in 4.x into 3.x.

  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).

For any productive work I would currently recommend to use LS 3.x LTS anyway.
