Hi there,

Just wondered what the best way of doing the following was:

1) Export the LS so that it can be read in an excel format.

2) We'll then translate it into different languages

3) Then re-upload the file - it will keep the logic etc in tact but obviously it will be fully translated into another language now.

I know you can export as a .txt file, and open that in Excel. The only issue is - I'm not really able to re-upload the file to LS (I tried exporting to a .csv and then uploading, but I hit an error message, "This is not a LimeSurvey survey file".).

Thank you.

Hi,
did you compare the files in a text editor?

Where there differences?
You know we are never happy if EXCEL is involved creating csv.
Therefore we always recommend (or prefer) OpenOffice / LibreOffice.
