IMO you should use EM.
EM is more flexible and powerful than this "old" assessment stuff.

Hi,
as you see in the answer table after activating your prototype and entering some data, "other" is stored as "-oth-"; the text is stored in the next column.
So you might say (assuming you have numerical codes)
{if(Q0 != '-oth-', Q0, 99)} meaning, IF the answer was NOT "-oth-" store the answer code else store "99".
This way you may calculate your assessment values or whatever in a question of type equation.
