Good afternoon to everyone,

im using LS 3.20.2
i have differente question groups and in every question group there are X numbers of questions.
i want to show up in a random order just 5 questions out of 10(for exemple).
i already randomized the question order by adding the question group randomization, but the next step is just to show up a certain number of questions out of the total.

i already searched but nothing helped, could someone please help me with this problem?

thanks in advance. FG

Hi,
this is explained many times here. And there are examples, too.

To display 5 out of 10 (or n out of m) you create two groups.
Set the second group to "hidden".
In the first group you insert 5 questions (or n), in the second (hidden) group the rest.
All questions have the same randomization group name.

is there an option to make without creating two groups of questions, i want to make it within one group, because the total survey has already 20 groups, so if i had to create this thing it will take me another 20 groups.
thanks.

20 more groups doesn't cost anything except maybe 10 minutes of development time. They add nothing to the data volume.

Place 0 in the group relevance equation.

i want to make it within one group

So you did not understand the "trick".
There are two groups, the first containing 5 questions, the second (hidden) 5 questions.
Because all ten questions have the same randomization group name, they are randomly distributed over the two groups.
But only the first group with the is displayed. This way you get 5 questions out of 10 randomly.

And if I set hide this question and let just one group it will work?

Did you try?
Honestly: these things you should always test in a prototype. It's really boring if you have to click through 30 screens until you reach the question you want to test.
