Is it possible to integrate VIN Decoder API in a Survey? was created by NikiBalboa

Hi guys,

I was wondering if there is a way to integrate this...

...in a quesionnaire (user enters VIN, survey can access the vehicle data and filter/save

Sure, you would need a custom integration and define what info do you want to bring from the API.

Hi,
in the link you provided there are the necessary php scripts.

In LimeSurvey you could do an ajax call with the necessary parameters and get back the result.

Yep,

And for the ajax call : www.limesurvey.org/manual/NewDirectRequest is a solution for managing API key inside LimeSurvey GUI.
Already made usage of arcgis API for such situation.

Assistance on LimeSurvey forum and LimeSurvey core development are on my free time.

You might can hire DenisChenu to write a plugin for that. Keep in mind if the PHP URL gets known to others you might end up getting your API calls abused by others.
