I want to have assessment of the sum of score of 2 questions. they are array questions. There are total 3 questions.
If the assessment is: The sum is {TOTAL}, I can get the total score
If the assessment is: The sum is {SUM(DASS1.VALUE,DASS6.VALUE)}, it just shows the same text but cannot give the sum
Can you help me, please? It is urgent as I need to finish it early.

Expressions cannot be used inside assessment messages.

My advice would be to use to use only expressions. Use as last question a "text display/equation" question to display the result to your respondents.

To show whether someone is stressed or has anxiety... use the "if" condition. For examples on expressions usage, see www.limesurvey.org/manual/Expression_Manager_sample_surveys .

P.s. Please note that the assessment scores are not stored by default in the response table! (in case you wish to analyse them later in the future). You need to create hidden equations where to store the scores (either using assessment placeholders or expressions inside them)

It is only a test version and my actual survey has 3 groups and 21 questions. The questions are arranged in random order not according to the groups.
Finally, I need to give their scores in each group.
In the test version, can how I give the score of anxiety as sum of question 1 and 2 and then score of stress as sum of question2 and 3.

Should I add a new group of result, group 2 and produce 3 questions? How to produce these 3 equations from the result of the result in group 1?

Is it possible that I can randomize the questions on the survey but not affect the result
For example:
I have
Group1: G1Q1, G1Q2, G1Q3
Group 2: G2Q1, G2Q2, G2Q3
Group 3: G3Q1, G3Q2, G3Q3

Instead the survey as
G1Q1
G1Q2
G1Q3
G2Q1
G2Q2, etc


I would like to randomize it as
G2Q1
G3Q1
G1Q3
G2Q2
G3Q2, etc

There is function of randomization group. Can it get this way?

However, the assessment is not displayed as expected and there is no assessment.
