Hello everybody,

I'm creating a survey for an association and I'd like to preview a survey with someone without giving them access to the admin area.

I know I can set user permissions which only allow view/read - but if the user has access to the admin interface they will be confused. In addition, they cannot preview the survey with these permissions.

I only want the user to preview the survey.

You can work around this by activating the survey for tests, then deactivate it again.

What is the advantage of this over the security change suggested by DenisChenu ?

I have no link, but it is just activating the survey and once the testing is done deactivate it again and make changes if necessary. There might be a manual page on how to activate / deactivate the survey, but you need to search for that yourself in the manual. But it is very basic, don't see the need for reading in the manual.

Advantage: Easy and simple, don't need to give access to the backend at all.
Disadvantage: While the survey is active you can't make all changes. E.g. adding questions / subquestions / answer options is not possible (basically everything that would need a change to the database structure). Basic wording changes are possible though.
