Dear community,

I am doing a survey that in general uses a pseudonym. Yet in the end I want to ask one question anonymously.

So what I am looking for is an option where the response to this item is saved in a different data set - anonymously and without the possibility to track which pseudonym gave that reply.

Is there any option to do this with LimeSurvey?

Thank you very much in advance.

The only way I see to do this is create a second question with the question that should be anonymous and connect both surveys via the END URL feature. Pretty easy and simple. Just don't pass any data from survey 1 to survey 2 and you won't be able to connect the results (as long as you don't save timings as well, which could allow to make a connection between both databases).

Help us to help you!
  • Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
  • Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
