I want to know if this is possible with limesurvey:
I have a number of participants on a closed access survey with tokens. Some of them have to answer to some questions (mutiple variants) with yes, no or abstain and other must have one of the answers (yes, no or abstain) already checked on a variant of the question and can answer only to the other variants.
Example:
One participant:
Please rate with yes, no or abstain one of the following:
• color red YES NO ABSTAIN
• color green YES NO ABSTAIN
• color blue YES NO ABSTAIN
• color black YES NO ABSTAIN
Other participant:
Please rate with yes, no or abstain one of the following:
• color red ABSTAIN
• color green YES NO ABSTAIN
• color blue YES NO ABSTAIN
• color black YES NO ABSTAIN
Other participant:
Please rate with yes, no or abstain one of the following:
• color red YES NO ABSTAIN
• color green YES NO ABSTAIN
• color blue YES NO ABSTAIN
• color black ABSTAIN
Can this be done based on tokens - shown some of the choices already checked based on participant (name, email???)
Hi,
yes you can do that with an equation.
I'd advice to create an TOKEN ATTRIBUTE to each respondent which shows what has to be preselected.
E.g. 0 = nothing, 1,2,3,4
And if these respondents are not allowed to answer these question you should not display them.
Best you send a sample (*.lss) of your survey.
It's always difficult to create a new survey from scratch hoping you match the ideas of the one who asked.

Oh, Tony already mentioned the TOKEN ATTRIBUTE
Volunteers are not paid.
Not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless
