In my organization, we have installed the community version of limesurvey, but when I try to send an email the error appears below:

administrator email: new_sistemas@ecrgroup.cl
Administratro: Administrador de encuestas
Email Method: SMTP
Host SMTP: correo.ecrgroup.cl
Username: new_sistemas@ecrgroup.cl
Password SMTOP: XXXXXXXXX
SMTP encryption SSL
Depuration SMTP method: Always


this are the same configuration to email in pc (outlook) and cellphones (android).

You should examine the settings in your email clients a bit more.

There are two "flavours" of transport encryption available for email.
1. "SMTPS" SMTPSecure = 'ssl', and usually requires Port = 465.
2. "SMTP+STARTTLS", SMTPSecure = 'tls', and usually requires Port = 587 or 25.

In LimeSurvey you can choose SMTP encryption: TLS or SSL

So try SSL and enter correo.ecrgroup.cl:465
And try TLS and enter correo.ecrgroup.cl:587

Depending on the server, you're hosting LimeSurvey on, you might not allowed to make SMTP connections at all or on certain ports.

Thanks a lot, because when I using with suggested configuration for TLS was successful
