It is possible to time how long a participant takes to answer a timed question, but in my case, I'd like to know if I could register how long the participant spend on the welcoming page of the survey (the consent form). There doesn't seem to be an option available for it at the moment. Any suggestions?

I don't think you can time the welcome page.

However, there might be a possibility to work around this. Do not use the welcome page, but create a page with a text display question at the beginning. Then you should have the very same effect.

What consent form? How does that work in the welcome message? Sound like a workaround.

On the welcome page of the survey, we can add text to explain what the research is about and my colleagues and myself refer to this text as a consent form. I guess working around it to include the form in the questions instead of the welcome message could work, it's more because we're looking for a way to keep things as short as possible for the participants. I'd like to know if the people just skip reading the consent form or actually take the time to read it by timing their time spent on the welcome message to the survey.

what is the difference for the participants?
Either they see the so called "welcome page", or they see a "text display question".
Of course you do not show both.
