Scenario:
One of my survey questions requires responders to enter 2-5 words as an answer. I would like them to enter each word in its own text box. Is it possible to provide the responders with 3 text boxes initially, and then they can just add two more if required? If it is possible, how do I go about doing it?
I have a follow-up question now. I would like to make the question mandatory, but still allow the respondent to only enter three words, should they wish to do so. Would that be possible?
Hello, Ilana,
do not set the question to "mandatory".
Force them to enter at least three words by setting one of these two proposals (which both are obvious):
1. Advanced settings / minimum answers: 3
2. Advanced settings / question validation equation: (!is_empty(tb_SQ001) AND !is_empty(tb_SQ002) AND !is_empty(tb_SQ003))
Additionally you can set your own "question validation tip", e.g. "Please enter at least three words".
So use what you like best.
Best regards
Joffm
