this type of question - how should I approach it in LimeSurvey?

I want to translate a paper survey to LimeSurvey.
Each question consists of 3 statements and people select the statement they like the most and the statement they like the least.

for instance:
Code:
                    most least
statement 1 [x] [ ]
statement 2 [ ] [x]
statement 3 [ ] [ ]

Is this possible with LimeSurvey and which question-type / approach would work?

Hi,
IMHO this require a basic "array" question type

Demo Surveys => goo.gl/HuR6Xe (already included in /docs/demosurveys)

I'm not sure about using a basic array because there should only be two answers for n rows and an array row, once answered, cannot be un-answered.

How about an Array (Numbers) with checkbox layout and question validation that ensures only 2 answers?

I managed to do it with "array by column" and I enabled mandatory. The subquestions are "most" and "least".

Many thanks for guiding me in the right direction!

How do you ensure that the answer is unique?
The array by column is missing a validation option to use something like self(unique) to ensure that every answer is unique. Not sure why the questions type is not having a validation field. A consistent user experience is really missing here.

That's why I suggested Array (Numbers) with checkbox layout.

You are right it needs some validation.
I noticed candidates can select "most" and "least" for the same statement, I will check out your suggestions.

But why is the question type "array by column" even existing if a simple validation is not included.
Pretty useless when offered as an inverse array question type but lacking the options.
