I emailed an Arabic/English survey to 1000 students for a research project.
I would like to see if it is possible to import their responses into lime survey so
the data can be coded. I plan to use SPSS for the analysis.

Why do you need to import data into LimeSurvey? In which format are the responses currently? You might choose to directly import the responses into SPSS.

And, just like Jelo, I don't understand what you are trying to do. Why do you want to import a survey in to limesurvey, what you want to import exactly and what you are trying to do.

Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
