Firstly a huge thank you for limesurvey and offline surveys. They are both quite brilliant.
I am new to this, I have setup a hosted account on limesurvey.org and a survey which is live. I want to be able to connect to the hosted mysql database and download the survey responses.
1. Can I do this with the hosted account?
2. How do I go about this?
As Jelo said. For things like connecting to the database directly, you will need to check with the service provider that is providing the hosted version of LS. The forum can not know how their installation is setup and what they allow you to do and what not. However, why would you want to connect to the MySQL-Database to download results? Why not just download via CSV? Mabe the API is a solution for you but this you also need to clarify with the provider, as we don't know the configuration and rights you have.
Help us to help you!
Provide your LS version and where it is installed (own server, uni/employer, SaaS hosting, etc.).
Always provide a LSS file (not LSQ or LSG).
Note: I answer at this forum in my spare time, I'm not a LimeSurvey GmbH employee.
