Hello,
Sorry if stupid question but I can't find any option to show statistics publicly both to respondants and other interested friends.
I have activated both the public statistics option in survey and fields+graphs but can I now give a direct link via email (or post it on my website) to all those who are interested in seeing statistics?

Simply copy the link from the completed page of a survey.

Alternatively, the link will be: https://pathToLimeSurvey/index.php/statistics_user/action/surveyid/SURVEY ID
