I'd say it's reasonable to bet that it will be widely used once implemented.

I think that when you leave out features of LimeSurvey that are used by less than 50% of the LimeSurvey users, a lot of features would disappear. Just a thought...

I agree. There are so many different use cases that we see here in the forum and besides a few key features that most will use, there are many features that only few use, or are only used very infrequently. That doesn't mean they wouldn't be missed if they wouldn't be there.
