Hey,

I am trying to import special characters for tokens in LimeSurvey without any success. Do you have any hints for me?

I tried this and that , but both solutions weren't a solution for me.

Do the special characters display properly when the CSV file is opened in LibreOffice Calc?

Thank you for your answer.

Yes, in LibreOffice everything seems to be fine. Even if I export tokens into CSV and reimport them without editing, the special characters were left out.

I think I tried mostly all character sets for the Import. Which one works best for you?

I usually use "Automatic". I don't have a problem as long as the CSV is encoded UTF-8 as Denis suggests.

Can you attach a shortened copy of your CSV file (with personal information obfuscated)?

In fact : to find the charater set when use Automatic : when importing : read 1000 caracters : if one of this caraters is pecific : set encoding to this caracter type.
If none : in UTF8, because utf8 is very common and must be set default everywher (and utf16 if really needed).

Good to know.
