My installation on a Linux server gives me a white screen when I want to upload an image to a text section (survey welcome). Locally this does not happen, so probably this has something to do with permissions.
What permissions do I need to set at what place to get this right?

Depend on the server : some just need web:web with 700 rights, some need www:users with 770 etc ....
Best is activate debug mode to start

I know, but which files? I already tried all files in third-party/kcfinder, but no success. Should I make all files in the installation 777? Then it will probably work, but my installation will not be safe anymore.
In the meantime we also found out that this may have to do with the PHP version. I made a note about this in the bug tracker.
[strike]Hard to say : really server dependent .....[/strike]
Sorry .... fix my answer
I use PHP 5.6 and don't have this issue, but maybe you have some information in the server log ?
