I am using the TFR_Responsive template and have a question that asks for date of birth. The question type is set to Date/time, when you click on the date-picker the drop-down for the future year is set to 2037 ( see the attachment) obviously no ones birth-date can be in the future is there any way of setting the future year to the current year, better still limit the date to today's date and then go backwards from there

What you are showing is not the TRF template, is it?

And this should not be template based anyway. You should be able to change this in the advanced settings of the question.

you are correct my mistake it is not the TFR
however it appears to be the same with all templates. I have tried to set the Min Max date in the advanced setting and that does not work if I set a max date of 2017/01/01 and a min date of 1900/01/01 I can only enter today's date
please see example

Please read : www.limesurvey.org/manual/Question_type_...9_.28New_in_2.05_.29

2017/01/01 is not a valid date

ahh ok so even though I have set my default date format to 2017/01/01 I still have to use 2017-01-01 in the advanced settings

my apologies I had read the manual but assumed that because I had changed my default format then I would have to use the same format in the advanced settings.

thank you

That correct!

Our manual is a wiki. Everyone could and should edit it so please add a note about these details.
Thanks!

I have edited and saved the relevant pages in the manual unfortunately when I look at the manual my updates are not there. Is there some sort of time delay or do edited comments need to be vetted before they appear in the manual?

....

Yes , we have 3 reason for this :
- More easy to have a "fixed format" for us
- We have bug with different format before
- You have only one settings even if the survey have different language settings (and then different date format).

We must clarify sometyhing about date in our manual : it's the same for "default value" and prefilled value: you must use englidh date format only.
