I have a multiple choice question with 2 items (attached) and I have added others, yet my user can not tick the "other" category (text can be entered but that's all)... feels a bit weird to me - could that be a bug?

I believe that's an aspect of the template.

Please file a bug report and make sure to enter all relevant information. Also, please update a complete survey (lss), not just a single question. Thanks you.

You're right. The "Other" check-box is ticked automatically when text is entered. Could still be considered a usability issue.

@tpartner, does this mean you must enter text to validate it?
Having it as an answer category per se, with optional text only would make more sense I think - ?

No : usuability is to show a checkbox : this checkbox is not used .

The only part used for multiple choice other is thge text input. Maybe mas_carpone use a SkeletonQuest based template where i hide the checkbox .

Ah yes Denis that's it! The basis of my template is SkeletonQuest (got that from another WHO colleague )
Is that an easy thing to change? May I ask your help on that?

Think in you version, just add this to template.css

Almost there : it now shows but when I click (although it seems to "react") it doesn't tick...
(It ticks only if I enter text again) - is that something that can be tweaked as well?

Yes, but the issue is this one :
If you click on it, do not enter something in text input : it save nothing.

Alternative : enter a space in other text when click ?

Had the same issue.

Adding the code the template.css worked perfectly for me.
