Hello, I think I should have searched in more depth but I'am in a bit of a thight spot. I have a survey online with a final question (alone, in a separate question group) which is a long text question. One survey respondent emailed me saying that he was writing along (for more than the defautl php session length of 24 minutes) and when he pressed the next button, he was "outed" and his response lost.. My question, without tempering with the default session.gc_maxlifetime in php ini, is it possible, or is there, a way to write a javascript to autosave answers on certain question types (e.g. long test questions) ?
I am using Version 2.06+ Build 151215 hosted on a shared hosting plan from BlueHost.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Benoît

Thank you Denis, I was starting to read about this in the manual and it seems like a good solution. I will however write a post in development suggestion for a jquery script that could automatically save long text question at specific intervals (e.g. every 3-5 minutes) in order to prevent loss of long text entry which can, from my experience, happen quite often
But in the meantime, thanks for the tip, I will try to configure db session for now
Regards,
Benoît

Can you tell me what the db session is ?
I'm looking, but still have pb with both finding the default session.gc_maxlifetime in php ini
or the db stuff.
