Build version:
Version 2.5RC4 Build 151207

I'm a brand new user, trying to report some result from LimeSurvey.

But then pressing the "Export" button at /admin/export/sa/exportresults/surveyid/{surveyid} nothing happens.

I did look up the Console in Chrome, but no javascrips error is going one. The browser jumps to the top of the page, and that's all. I have the same issue with all surveys (Two with many important values, and one with test-data).


The statictics page is working just fine.

Do any of you guys, have any idea of what is going on? I did try to search on the web, but i couldn't fine anything specific about the problem.

First of all: You are using a Release Candidate (which is an unstable version) in production. This is generally not a good idea.

I would have to check if this happens on my test version as well, but I don't really have data in any of the surveys there.

How big is the survey and how many responses have you collected? Just to understand how big the generated file would be and if this could be the cause (due to some server limits).

Well, that's on my. Then setup, i just took the latest release down. I should have checked for stable version, before testing in "live"-environment.

The data-sheet is very small. One of the only have approximately 5 questions, and the two is this 28 questions, and 5 answers. The server should not be a problem, but if i need to look at something specific, a small hint would be nice. Thanks for your time!

And what is this survey that you attached? Is this your survey?

However, I could reproduze the problem with your survey. You might want to make a bug report. But before that, you should probably upgrade to the RC5 which is the most current version of this branch of Limesurvey and see if the problem has been fixed already.

It sounds fine, that you were able to reproduze the problem.

Then trying to update with ComfortUpdate, i getting the "Up to date!" message, like there isn't any newer release candidate version.

Do you have any suggestions to how i can do it in another way?

Update: Well... I will look at www.limesurvey.org/manual/Upgrading_from_a_previous_version , and report if i'm not able to figure it out. Thanks for your help!

Update2: It looks like build151207 have the same issues. After some research i find this bug report:

So basically i need to give it some time. I'm going to export the data from the DB, and manually put it into Excel.

Don't update just yet! I updated to RC5 and it got me error 500, while it was working fine before.

Too late :laugh: - But it's not that hard to go back again.

I haven't plans for new surveys in the next weeks. Hopefully a better RC will be available soon.

Yesterday i did update to Version 2.5RC6 Build 160108, but i'm not able to update yet.
