Hi everyone!
Here is what our company would like to do with LimeSurvey:
- Create a survey that allows participants to update their previously entered data using a token
- Add additional questions and answer options to that survey.
I've learned that while adding questions to a running survey is not possible, it is possible to merge data sets using VV-export/inport. Would that work with tokens, so that participants could still update the data they entered before the merge on the merged survey?
If not, I'd like to know if it would be feasible to improve LimeSurvey to make that scenario possible (we'd be willing to do that) and roughly how much effort might that change need?
Who would add Additional Questions? The admins, right?
I guess some kind of automation could be done to merge participants previous answers into new survey.
I could help you with that.
Thanks!
Gabriel

Hi Gabriel,
would the merging mean that when participants update their data (which they entered before a new question was added) using their token, they can still see their previous answers? Since our questionnaire is quite long, we cannot ask participants to fill in the whole thing again when they want to just update a single bit of information.
