I'm a new user in LimeSurvey, and i need to design a survey to our colleges for the business, but some idea is extremely difficult to perform.

I have 2 question Q1 & Q2 here,

Q1: Please Enter your name? ________
Q2: Please select your partner:
。Mary
。John
。Sam
。Sue
。Ming


Q1 is a short free text, let users enter their name and Q2 show a fixed list of users. If i fill "Mary" in Q1, is possible Q2 can exclude the username which Q1 has been entered? show as:
。John
。Sam
。Sue
。Ming


I try the array filter function, but it seems not support in short free text. Any idea here? Many Thanks

In my opinion, this is not possible because anything can be entered in Q1 and there is no way to build Q2 to accommodate infinite names.

I agree.

The only way to achieve this is coding some additional JavaScript which checks for each item of Q2
"IF {q1.shown} != <thisoption>".
